Commitment to Community

McKenna’s Gym and McKenna Weightlifting share a commitment to building our community both within and outside our facility. As such, we not only welcome but encourage all people to train with us, no matter their gender identification, race, sexual preference, nation of origin, physical or mental capacity, or religion. We will not tolerate abusive language or actions in our gym or within our team, and we will stand against all hateful words and actions outside our gym walls.

We will participate in community programs including supporting the arts, education, athletics, and small businesses. Our participation includes highlighting local artists during the Art Walk, giving out candy during the Halloween Trick or Treat, planting flowers in front of our building through Main Street Highland Park, and participating in other local and regional events which highlight the people and places around us.

Finally, we welcome everyone to come train here, whether your goal is to compete at the Olympics or to make moving your bags of dog food easier. You are entitled to respect, honest pricing, and results driven training. Your body is a unique blend of art and science, let no one tell you differently.
